On Thursday 7 November 2019, a dedication service was held at St Wendreda’s Church to mark the installation of a memorial plaque presented jointly by the Neale-Wade Association and former students of March Grammar School.
The plaque commemorates former pupils and staff who lost their lives in the First World War and in subsequent conflicts, and it also marks the Association’s 100th reunion, held on 28 June 2019.
This plaque joins two others presented by the Association in 2019—one installed at St George’s Chapel in Ypres and another at Neale-Wade Academy.
The service at St Wendreda’s was attended by students and staff from Neale-Wade Academy, along with representatives of the Association including George Lockwood, John Phythian, Clive Lemmon and Mark Vawser.
